Subject: Class of '64
Date: Sun, 28 Mar 1999 15:33:02 -0600
From: "Donahoe, Susan" sdonahoe@mail.mannatech-inc.com

Hello, my name is Susan Donahoe and I am writing unbeknownst to my mother who graduated from PHS in 1964. Her maiden name is Rose Marie Curcuruto (who could forget a name like that?). She has a brother who is a couple of years older, Karol Gene Curcuruto and a younger brother, John Robert Curcuruto. My grandparents lived in Pecos until the early 80's. They are John and Rose Curcuruto. My great aunt and uncle are Ray and Floyd Brownlee of Brownlee Hardware.

My mom is married and living in San Antonio, Texas. She has two children and 1 grandson. My brother is 27 and also lives in San Antonio. My husband, our one-year old son and I live in Arlington, Texas. My grandparents retired and bought some land in Mountain Home, Texas where they presently reside.

If you know any of my family, I would love to hear from you at
sdonahoe@mail.mannatech-inc.com.

From: Well Testing Wireline
Organization: Well Testing Wireline

Hello Pecos! This is Amy Swanson. (Hello Wendy, Wes & Steve!) I graduated in 1988 and now live in Monahans. I have three kids, 3, 5, & 7 and work as a secretary in the oilfield. You can reach me at amyswanson88@yahoo.com

My brother is Mike Swanson, who would have graduated from Pecos High in 1971, but he graduated from a highschool in Denmark where he was a foreign exchange student at the time. He also lives here in Monahans now and is an attorney. He has six children, 22, 21, a senior in high school, a sophore in high school, a 7th grader and a 5th grader (the oldest two are girls).

My sister is Debbie Swanson Keller. She graduated in 1969 (the year I was born!) and now lives in Malad, Idaho. She has five children and two grandchildren.

We would all like to hear from our classmates. Thank you very much.

Subject: Does Bill Carrico Have Email?
Date: Fri, 26 Mar 1999 09:53:44 -0600
From: c f ray

I know that several of you out there that live in San Angelo see Mr. Carrico occasionally. If you do, could you print the emails about him and give them to him. I think he would be impressed that so many of us remember him as a wonderful teacher and psychologist. He had such a favorable impact on me and so many others. If he has email, get him to visit the site.

Just a thought! I think those who helped us all as much as he did should be thanked over and over.

Subject: East Pecos Jr. High Faculty
Date: Fri, 26 Mar 1999 05:15:45 EST
From: RABotello@aol.com

I attended EPJH from 1952-1956. If anyone has information about any of the school's faculty during that period, please write. In particular, I am interested on the whereabouts of Mr. McDaniels - lived in Barstow. Mr. Foster, taught History and Geography, Ms. Odom, Coach Menasco, Ms. Williams and Ms. Douglas, Band.

Like every teacher I had the privelege of knowing, these individuals educated me, but most important taught me lessons not found in textbooks, but by which I try to live. They are role models, whose principles I did not quite understand back then, but gave me reference point to relate to in making life and career changes. To all teachers past, present and future, my sincere thanks. God Bless You.

PS. If Ms. Williams reads this, I hope she is not too tough on my grammar. Believe me, it is no reflection on her, just that we have lived in various places throughout my military career and, well sometimes you learn to do as the 'Romans' do.

I goofed on a previous message and stated that my wife, Mary Tercero Botello graduated from PHS in '62, she was a Class of 64 graduate. Again, no reflection on any of my teachers - the gingko biloba stuff only works when I can remember where I left it.

Would also like to hear from EPJH students from that time period.

The Pecos Enterprise staff - Thanks, for great job!

Subject: 1972 PHS Grad
Date: Thu, 25 Mar 1999 22:06:29 -0600
From: Lucien Coleman lcolemn2@SWBell.net

It was amazing when Sharon James told me about this site, and forwarded me address. I am Garry Johnson, and graduated from PHS in 1972. I work for Texas-New Mexico Power Company in Ft. Worth, so I have not lost total contact with the town and the people. But I have lost contact with most of the people I graduated with. It does bring back lots of memories to read the notes from everybody else.

If any of you Wyoming Wildcats have access to this site let me here from you. You'll know who I am talking about.

Look forward to reading more of the notes, and talking to more of you.

Well I guess I should say something since I live here in beautiful Pecos. I am a grad. from '87 and I have quite a collection of e-mail address' to give out if any one needs them. Just drop a line and I will do what I can to keep in touch. HI Steve, Amy , Wendy .....

On a sad note the class of '86 lost a member...Kevin Gradel. I was in prose and public speaking with him and he will be missed by all.

I would love to hear from anyone that attended PHS around 1988. I've been terrible about keeping in touch!! I live in Arizona now and my folks have moved from Pecos (just this year), so I never get back to visit. There are so many people I'd like to catch up with.

If anyone knows how to reach Misti Welch--please let me know. I know she's in the Austin area and about to get married, but I can't locate her. HELP!!

Does anyone know if Mrs. McNutt is still teaching English at PHS--she was the greatest!! If not, too bad for future students!!

Thanks & HI to all!

I really enjoy reading all the e-mails. I don't even care if I know who they are from..it's knowing they are from Pecos that makes it special for me. The class of '69 is planning our 30 year reunion this summer and I am looking forward to seeing everyone. I live in Hobbs NM and still get home to see my parents often. Would love to hear from "long-lost friends"!

Hello everyone! Thanks to all who have answered. I should have also let everyone know that yes...I am one-half of the Acosta twins. I'm Celina the one who played in the percussion section for all those years. Some of you have written back to say that you didn't know which one I was. Celia lives in Alpine with her husband and two boys, David now 17 and Matthew - 12. I am currently a capital campaign coordinator for a Jewish Temple trying to raise six million. Before this, I worked at two PBS stations for five years. I loved working there and got to meet some famous PBS personalities. Bill Moyers was one and he told me he got to visit Pecos while he was in college. I would love to know who that family was. Would love to talk to this person along with my classmates, band members, etc.

From: "Sharon James" compsol@flash.net

Wow, this is really cool. I'm Sharon Smith James and I graduated from Pecos High in 1971. My dad (W. Leslie Smith, previous pastor of First Baptist Church Pecos) sent me this site and it really brought back a lot of memories. I didn't see anyone from my class but did see several folks that I remember.

A little history -- I graduated with a B.S. in Business with a teacher's certificate from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX. Found out really fast that I didn't enjoy teaching school so have been doing various computer-related jobs since graduation. Right now I have a home-based Word Processing business in Arlington, Texas and stay really busy. Some of you remember that I married Garry Johnson, class of '72 (we are now divorced) and have 2 kids -- Mike is 21 and Chris is 18. Both still live at home with me and go to school.

Would love to hear from "old" acquaintances (I'm trying to be careful in using that word!)

I also had the privilege of taking 11 years of piano from Beverly Fabrygel. I really loved that lady. If anyone knows how she is doing I would appreciate hearing from you.

I hope the class of 1974 has a 25 year reunion. I have said it before and I'll say it again, it is so much fun hearing from Pecos exes.

Donna Jo if you read this, give Edie a kiss for me!

Thanks again to Peggy, Joy and to the Pecos Enterprise!
