Paul Morrison

Paul Lafayette Morrison, 94, of Pecos, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at the Pecos Nursing Home.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at the First Christian Church with Rev. Ernie Waggoner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 14, 1907, in Kraft, Tx., was a retired postmaster and a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Morrison of Pecos; three sons, Norman Morrison of Ceby City, Phillipines, Jimmy Morrison of Fort Worth, Raymond Morrison of Pecos; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Kendall Belles

Kendall Lee Belles, 58, of Pecos, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2001 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at the First United Methodist Church in Pecos with Rev. Bruce Abbott officiating.

He was born March 2, 1943, in Boca Raton, Florida, was a U.S. Army Veteran who had served in the Vietnam War, was a former relay terminal manager for ABF Trucking and a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, Suzi Belles of Pecos; two sons, Kendal Belles of Ft. Hood, Stephen Young of Austin; two daughters, Sandy Belles of Pecos, Stephanie Braun of Indianapolis, In.; his mother, Rose Belles of Indianapolis; five brothers, Phil Belles of Brementon, Wash., Bill Belles of Indianapolis, In., Keith Belles of Aspinwall, Pa., Kevin Belles of Gurnee, Ill., Steve Belles of Indianapolis, In.; six sisters, Barbara Larson of Barian, Ill., Cathy Colwell of Apache, Ok., Theresa Wisehart of Indianapolis, In., Ginny Blevins of New Palestine, In., Linda Pierce of Indianapolis, In., Rita Charman of Ranger and three grandchildren.

Cristi Cox, 25, of Amarillo, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, in Abilene.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.R. Wooten officiating.

She was born Dec. 31, 1976 in Ozona, had lived in Amarillo since 1995 and was a Presbyterian.

Survivors include her mother, Debra Diehl of Amarillo; her step-father, Ray Diehl of Amarillo; her grandmother, Ann Shaw of Amarillo; great-grandmother, Louise Cranfill of Barstow; one sister, Misti Link of Abilene.

Guadalupe Armendariz

Guadalupe Armendariz, 77, of Pecos, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at Reeves county Hospital.

A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m., today, at Peaceful Garden Chapel.

Mass is scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 31, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 7, 1924, in Big Spring, was a lifetime Pecos resident, a housewife and a Catholic.

Survivors include her husband, Manuel E. Armendariz of Pecos; one son, Esteban M. Armendariz of Pecos; three daughters, Horenza A. Pando and Maria M. Armendariz of Pecos, Susana A. Nieto of Odessa; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Norman Eisenwine

Norman Eisenwine, 92, died Friday, Dec. 28, at the Claystone Healthcare Center in Ennis.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., today, in the First Christian Church in Ennis with Rev. Brad Ryder officiating.

He was born Sept. 11, 1909, in Pecos, was raised in Pecos, where he attended Pecos High School, then attended Texas A&M and Draughns Business School in Abilene, he owned and operated a car dealership and was involved in racing. In July 1997 they moved to Ennis, where they were a member of the First Christian Church. He served as deacon at the Pecos First Christian Church and was on the board for several years. He was a member of the Lions Club of Pecos and a charter member of the Reeves County Sheriff's Posse.

Survivors include his wife, Annevlyn Roberson Eisenwine of Ennis; two sons, Louis Eisenwine of Ennis, Jim Eisenwine of Carrollton; three daughters, Norma Payne of Ennis, Carolyn Carson of Burleson, Marilyn McCormick of San Angelo; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the First Christian Church or the charity of your choice.

Rene "Ronnie" Ybarra

Rene "Ronnie" Ybarra, 45, died December 27 at Midland Memorial Hospital. A Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 28 at the Reyes-Garcia Chapel. The funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29 at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Monsignor T. J. Murphy will officiate.

Ybarra was born on August 16, 1956 in Pecos. In 1977 he moved to Midland and later attended Aladdin Beauty College. He worked as a hair stylist and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his mother, Dominga V. Ybarra of Midland; six brothers: Pete Ybarra of Midland; Chris Ybarra of Midland; Joe Ybarra of Florida; Robert Ybarra of Pecos; Ignacio Ybarra of Pecos; Louie Ybarra of Midland; and one sister: Mary Mata of Pecos.

Mary S. Woods

Funeral services for Mary S. Woods, 63, of Van Horn will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Van Horn, with Rev. Virgil Gage officiating. Services are under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home.

Woods was born on March 18, 1938 in Durant, Okla., and died Dec. 18, 2001 at Reeves County Hospital. She was a retired teacher and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Barry Woods of Van Horn; two sons, Morris Woods of Buena, Wash., and Royce Woods of Van Horn; a sister, Jerry McCoy of Kellesyville, Calif., and two grandchildren.

Peggy F. Goodman

Funeral services for Peggy F. Goodman, 75, were held at 1 p.m. today at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Austin, with Dr. Helen P. Almanza officiating. Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Goodman was born in Pecos in 1926. She married Air Force Lt. Ray Goodman in 1944 and spent the next 25 years living with her husband and family at Air Force bases around the world. She returned to Texas in 1966 and lived in the Austin area until her death.

Her husband, Ray, and one son, Pete Goodman, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Neill; two brothers, James Buchanan and Mickie Buchanan; one grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ida B. McAnally

A graveside service for Ida Bell McAnally, 91, of Amarillo, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001 at Barstow Cemetery with Rev. James Wooten of First Presbyterian Church of Barstow officiating. Services are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Amarillo.

McAnally died Dec. 23, 2001 in Amarillo, where she had lived for the past nine years.

She was born in Jacksonville, Tex., and had been a long-time resident of Barstow and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. "Bob" McAnally and one son, A.L. McAnally, in 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Jim McAnally of Dallas and Ernie McAnally of Amarillo; three daughters, Neoma Schultz of Tucson, Ariz., Betty Baker of Higgins and Bobby Hopper of Keller; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Lois Salas

Lois C. Salas, 76, of Pecos, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001, at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery with Deacon George Vasquez officiating.

She was born May 11, 1925, in Grapeland, Tx., had lived in Pecos since 1949, was a retired housekeeper and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Patricio Salas of Pecos; one daughter, Helen Rodriguez of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Troy Rodriguez of Des Moines, Iowa, Ben Rodriguez of Mesa, Ariz., Ramon Rodriguez of Mesa, Ariz., Rick Rodriguez of Kansas, Rena Rodriguez of Mesa, Ariz. and 10 great-grandchildren.

Gomisinda Olguin

Gominsinda "Chinda" Cano Olguin, 86, of Bakersfield, Calif., died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001.

Mass will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21, at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 10601 Myrtle Avenue, Lamont, with burial in Arvin Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 13, 1915, in Marfa, was an excellent cook of Mexican food, and had worked for 18 years as the main cook at Ben's Spanish in Pecos. She went to Bakersfield from Texas.

Olguin was preceded in death by two sons, Antonio and Pablo, and one daughter, Erminia Franco.

Survivors include three sons, Julian Franco of Virginia, Milky and Joe Olguin of California; four daughters, Trine Garcia of Pecos, Rosa Morales, Gomie Franco, Minnie Juarez of California; one brother, Frank Cano of Texas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mary Woods

Mary S. Woods, 63, of Van Horn, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at Reeves County Hospital.

A memorial date will be held at a later date.

She was born March 18, 1938, in Durant, Okla., was a retired teacher and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Beary Woods of Van Horn; two sons, Morris Woods of Buena, Wa., Royce Woods of Van Horn; one sister, Jerry McCoy of Kellseyvill, Calif. and two grandchildren.

Betsy Stewart

Betsy Stewart, 90, of Roswell, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell.

Services were held at 11 a.m., today, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church with father Bob Williams of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Harold H. Weicker, her son-in-law. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

She was born April 1, 1911, in El Paso, was a homemaker, taught riding at New Mexico Military Institute, lived in Pecos for several years, and was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church of Pecos and St. Andrew's of Roswell.

Survivors include one son, George Sessions Morrison, Jr. of Alamagordo, N.M.; one daughter, Carolyn Morrison Weicker of San Rafael, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the St. Andrew's Foundation or the Assurance Home.

Frances Wood

Frances A. Caywood Wood, 83, of Garland, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at C.C. Young Nursing Home in Garland.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19, at West Park Baptist Church with Rev. Rey Carreon, Rev. J.E. McCormick and Rev. James Sain officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

She was born June 5, 1918, in Albany, Tx., was a retired attendance clerk for the Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD, a former Pecos resident and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Louis G. Wood and James O. Wood; one daughter, Jackie Rowland; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

James Pearrow, Jr.

James L. Pearrow, Jr., 61, of Little Rock, AK, died today after a lengthy illness.

Services are pending at Citizen Funeral Home in West Helena, AK.

He was born in 1940 and lived in Pecos from 1958 to 1978 when he moved to Russellville, AK, and is retired from GTE Telephone Co.

Survivors include his mother Mrs. James Pearrow, Sr., of Elaine, AK; two children Jamie Luckett of Lubbock and Ron Pearrow of Winnemucca, NV; five brothers Bill Pearrow of Marian, AK, Johnny Pearrow of Horn Lake, MS, Robert Pearrow of Elaine, AK, David Pearrow of Clarksville, AK, and Marvin Pearrow of Lamar, AK; four sisters Wanda Day and Pasty Chance of Peoria, IL, Mary Hill of Grenada, MS, and Trisha Estes of Hanna City, IL; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty Brown

Betty Brown, 61, of Lumberton, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at her residence.

Services were held at 11 a.m., today, at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clark Ford officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Graham, was a retired bank teller for First National Bank in Pecos, a lifelong Pecos resident and a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Hal Brown of Lumberton; two sons, Jamie Wayne Brown of Odessa and John David Brown of Orange; one daughter, Julie Ann Edwards of Fairview, Okla.; mother Alma Opal Vick of Midland; one sister, Joan Hamilton of Midland and seven grandchildren.

Santiago Garcia, 88, of Pecos, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at ReevesCounty Hospital.

A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m., today at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 14, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with Father Ben Florez officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

He was born July 25, 1913, in Balmorhea, was a retired laborer, a lifelong Pecos resident and a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Ramona Garcia of Pecos; three sons, Ricky, Mike and Joe Garcia of Pecos; six daughters, Maria Fuentez, Josefina Garcia of Pecos, Janet Garcia of Perris, Calif., Amelia Garcia of Minnesota, Irene Garcia of Lubbock, Lorina Garcia of Madera, Calif.; 36 grandchildren and25 great-grandchildren.

Helen Kathryn Humphries, 91, of Balmorhea, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, at Balmorhea Cemetery with Rev. Erine Vineyard officiating.

Survivors include one great-nephew Mark Thompson of Houston and a friend, Jack R. Nail of Balmorhea.

Senaida Garcia

Senaida Garcia, 50, of Midland, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at her residence.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m., today, at Reyes-Garcia Chapel, in Midland.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Reyes-Garcia Chapel.

She was born on Feb. 14, 1951, in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, at an early age moved to Pecos, where she was raised and educated. She lived in various cities before settling in Midland. She had worked as a nurse in Pecos and California, later lived in El Paso where she worked as an insurance agent. She was a member of Assembly of God Faith in Jesus Christ in Pecos.

Survivors include two sons, Albert Garcia Licon of Ontario, Calif. and Adolph Garcia of Midland; two daughters, Melissa Garcia Samaniego of Riverside, Calif. and Michelle Garcia Chavez of Midland; two brothers, Teofilo Garcia of Corona, Calif. and Jose Garcia of Ontario, Calif.; four sisters, Aurora Mira Montez of El Paso, Gloria Garcia Hamilton of Pecos, Ester Carrasco of Pecos and Patsy Prieto of El Paso; five grandsons; three granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Dale Sutton

Dale Benjamin Sutton, 69, of Santa Fe, N.M., died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at his home.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home. Mr. Sutton's wishes were to be cremated and his family will have a private interment service to be held at a later date.

He was born June 2, 1932, in Eugene, Ore., had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1961, after previously living in Pecos. He had been employed as an industrial painter until his retirement in 1997 and a member of Painter's Local #47 for 40 years. He attended Living Stones Church and served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Humbird, Debra Allen of Santa Fe; one son, Wayne Wilkerson of Santa Fe; one brother, Melvin Sutton of Pecos; one sister, Karen Hornberger of Toyah and 10 grandchhildren.

Funeral services are incomplete for Betty Brown, 61, who died Sunday in Lumberton, Tx.

J.B. Kirklin

J.B. Kirklin, 88, died on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at his home.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at Cook-Walden Chapel of The Hills Funeral Home in Austin with Rev. Fred Margan of Hope Presbyterian Church officiating.

Interment followed in the Palm Valley Lutheran Cemetery in Round Rock.

He was born in Rocky Mount, Louisiana, and moved to Pecos at the age of 25 where he was a former president of the Trans Pecos Cotton Association.

He was also a retired independent oil operator and investor.

Survivors include his wife Mary Glier Kirklin of Austin; his sister Louise Kirklin Davis of Shreveport, La.; two daughters Julianne Nichols of Tyler and Betty Duderstadt of Georgetown; one son William Stephen Kirklin of Houston; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Manuel J. Menchaca

Manuel J. Menchaca, 61, of Pecos, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital of Odessa.

A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass is scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with Father Miguel Sanchez officiating.

He was born in Mexico, was a longtime Pecos resident, a disabled laborer and a Catholic.

Survivors include four sons, Ismael and Frankie Menchaca of Odessa and Erick and Danny Salcido of Pecos; two daughters, Gloria Menchaca of Odessa and Criselda Navarrette of Pecos; one brother, Geronimo Menchaca of Pecos; one sister, Francisca Menchaca of Ojinaga, Mexico and nine grandchildren.

Otto Herman Renz, 83, of Toyah, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Odessa Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, at Balmorhea Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Abbott officiating.

He was born May 10, 1918, in Balmorhea, was a retired rancher and a lifelong Toyah resident.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Renz of Toyah; three sons, Jim Renz of Fort Stockton, Lee Renz of Balmorhea and Scott Renz of Alpine; two stepsons, Wade Dodson of Anger, N.C. and Brian Gibson of Pecos; one sister, Pauline Barton of Cedar Hill and six grandchildren.

Ernest "Ernie" Embry, 48, of Lovington, N.M., died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Jim Finch officiating. Burial will be in Lovington Cemetery.

He was born June 4, 1953, in Pecos and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include his parents, Kendall and Marge Embry of Lovington, N.M.; one brother, Mike Embry of Lovington, N.M.; one niece; three nephews; three aunts and uncles.

David Aldridge

David Aldridge, 60, of Barstow, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at a veteran's hospital in Big Spring.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2, at Barstow Cemetery with Rev. J.R. Wooten officiating.

He was born Jan. 31, 1941, in Big Spring, was a U.S. Army Veteran who served one tour in Germany, two tours in Vietnam and two tours in Okinawa, was a lifelong Barstow resident, retired from the military and a Presbyterian.

He was preceded in death by one brother and his stepfather.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy Aldridge of Barstow; one son, Pat Aldridge of Universal City; his mother, June Aldridge Diehl of Ozona; three brothers, Charles and Tommy Diehl of Ozona, John Diehl of Pecos; one sister, Mary Ann Booth of Temple and one grandchild.

Helen Humphries, 91, of Balmorhea, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, at her residence.

She was born June 2, 1910, in Robinson, Ill., was a retired teacher, had lived in Pecos since 1943 and was a Methodist.

She is survived by a friend, Jack R. Nail of Balmorhea.

Alberto Moreno, Jr.

Funeral services for Alberto V. Moreno Jr., 52, of Whiteface will be on Monday, Dec., 3, 2001 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Stockton, with Father David Herrera officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001 at Fort Stockton Funeral Home Chapel.

Moreno was born on July 18, 1949 in Fort Stockton and died on Nov. 29, 2001 in Lubbock. He lived in Fort Stockton for 25 years, and in Pecos for one year before moving to Whiteface. He was a security chief for a private corrections facility and was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Grace C. Moreno of Whiteface; his parents Alberto Moreno Sr. and Petra Moreno of Fort Stockton; a son, Albert R. Moreno of Estancia., N.M.; two daughters, Arlene Matta of Walsenburg, Co., and Deanna Moreno of Odessa, a sister, Bella Martinez of Midland, and three grandchildren.

Tomasa Contreras

Tomasa A. "Tome" Contreras, 81, of Saragosa, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at the Pecos Nursing Home.

Mass is scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Balmorhea with Father Miguel Angel Sanchez officiating. Burial will be in Saragosa Cemetery.

She was born April 23, 1920, in Balmorhea, was a homemaker, a longtime resident and a Catholic.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Cristina C. Tarin and two brothers, Juan Almansa and Gomisindo Almansa II.

Survivors include two sons, Carlos Contreras Sr. of Fort Stockton and Ynes Contreras, Jr. of Monahans; three daughters, Olivia C. Perez and Natalia C. Ramirez of Saragosa, Elvira C. Ontiveros of Midland; one brother, Paulo Almansa of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Monica A. Romo and Maria Almansa of Phoenix, Ariz.; 22 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Frank "Poncho" Baca Jr., 57, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. A rosary will be held tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Peaceful Garden Funeral Home chapel, with Mass scheduled for 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church in Barstow. Burial will be at Barstow Cemetery, under the direction of Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.

He was born on April 27, 1944 in Barstow and was a lifetime resident of the area. He was a retired carpenter and was a Catholic.

Survivors include a brother, Juan Baca of Odessa; four sisters, Grace Lopez, Millie Navarrete and Tillie Baca of Pecos and Licha Ortiz of Monahans; two sons, Jacob Baca and Johnny Baca of San Antonio; two daughters, Janie Garcia and Elizabeth Garcia of San Antonio, and 16 grandchildren.

Mary Ruth Schmidt

Mary Ruth Schmidt, 68, of Odessa, died on Friday, Nov. 23, 2001 after a long battle with lymphoma and its complications.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., today at the First Presbyterian Church in Odessa with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1933 in Jonesboro and was a teacher at Pecos Elementary School. While in Pecos she was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Ruth Jeffries of Jonesboro; her husband, Dr. Edwin Schmidt of Odessa; one sister, Eloise Cummings of Jonesboro; one son, Shane Schmidt of Houston; one stepdaughter, Joanne Schmidt of Albuquerque; and two grandchildren.

If desired memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Odessa or the Confederate Air Force.

Elizabeth Wilson

Elizabeth Wilson, 93, of Pecos, died on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Baylor University Medical Hospital in Dallas.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m., today at the First Baptist Church in Pecos with Rev. Greer Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

She was born on June 6, 1908 in El Paso, was a Pecos resident since 1928, a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Carey B. Wilson of Dallas and John Virgil Wilson of Pyote; one daughter, Sue W. Dawson of El Paso; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Pecos.

Luciana Garcia, 67, of Pecos, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

Services were held at 2 p.m., today, at Primera Iglesia Bautista, Eighth and Sycamore Streets with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 9, 1933, in Ojinaga, Mexico, was a homemaker, a lifetime resident and a Baptist.

Survivors include one son, Rojelio Garcia of Odessa; five daughters, Maria Quesada of Odessa, Janie Martinez of Eddinburg, Socorro Munoz and Maria Orosco of Pecos and Sylvia Gonzales of Kermit; two brothers, Timoteo Rodriguez of Ojinaga, Eladio Rodriguez of Odessa; three sisters, Maria Orona of Ojinaga, Mexico, Aurelia Garcia of Odessa and Lydia Munoz of Pecos; 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Randy Hernandez, 43, of Pecos, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001, in Pecos.

Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

He was born July 30, 1958, in Pecos, had served in the U.S. Navy, was a lifetime Pecos resident, a maintenance employee at Best Western Motel and a Catholic.

Survivors include his mother, Diega Hernandez of Pecos; two sons, Alex Abila of Pecos and Alfred Hernandez of Lubbock; one daughter, Diega Hernandez of Lubbock; two brothers, Daniel and Sammy Hernandez of Pecos; two sisters, Elva Orona and Silvanna Licon of Pecos and two grandchildren.

Augustina Vasquez, 84, of Pecos, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Visitation will be today, Saturday, Nov. 24 and Sunday, Nov. 25, at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.

A prayer service was held at 2 p.m., today at the Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon George Vasquez officiating.

She was born May 28, 1917, in Pecos, was a lifetime Pecos resident, a homemaker and a Catholic.

Survivors include two sons, Reynaldo Dominguez of Pecos and Carlos Vasquez, Jr. of Iowa Park, Tx.; one daughter, Mary Prieto of Odessa; one sister, Anita Aguirre of Pomona, Calif.; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
