Hi Pecos!!!

I graduated in '82. I remember the Carrico's! I had Mrs. Carrico for a P.E. teacher in elementary school, and Mr. Carrico in chior, in high school, and ran with their son, Lance for a short while, when he was dating a friend of mine.

I want to know, what ever happened to Ronye Hinojos? If anyone sees him, or Ronye, if you see this ad, drop me a line and tell me how you're doing!! Here's my email address: yellorose@yahoo.com

Hi Mom! Hi Dad!!

Elvis,

It was good to hear from another Pecos Ex. Mr. and Mrs. Lucas left Pecos sometime after Margie Lucas died of cancer. That was around age 33 for Margie who was with me in the Class of 1966. They went to a southern state but I don't remember which one. I don't know if Bonita, the younger daughter, went with them or not.

You know that our class of '66 had a lot of cancer. I often wonder if the testing done in New Mexico had an effect on us or maybe it was the spraying of DDT by air.

Hope you enjoy this site as much as I do.

Joy Brown Ray

I have enjoyed reading all the latest news. It has been a while since I have lived in Pecos. I wanted to know if Mrs. Lucas is still working for the school district? I believe she was a school secretary.

I live in Austin. This is my home, but I will always have a place in my heart for Pecos. I still have one brother living in Pecos.

Thanks.

I once kept in touch with Niki Evans who I think graduated in 1970. Has anyone heard from her recently or do you know where she ended up? If anyone knows, please respond.

Thanks,

Just found it! What a neat deal to hear about some Pecos exes. Didn't graduate from there but left during the 52-53 year as a jr. Joined the air force and got to fly fighters and am still growing up at our place next to Houston. Have an ag flying business and also run a bunch of Tx Longhorn show cattle.

I get back every now and then and visit with some of guys I ran with. And a few kinfolks. Really nice to visit your site. Hello to all.

I just wanted to say Thank-You for creating Pecos Gab. It was fun to talk to Joy Brown Ray and today I received an E-mail from an old classmate and I was thrilled. Turns out she lives very close to where I live and we are going to try to get together. Her Aunt gave her the address.

Thanks again to you and to Joy!

Joy,

I remember High School band and Mr Carrico with fond memories. I went to my ten year class reunion, but could not make it for the twenty year one. I was hoping for a 25 year reunion, but do not know if it will exist.

You are so right about things changing!

I am the director of the Giddings Area Chamber of Commerce. It keeps me very busy. I married Dennis Roberts who is your age and graduated from Barstow. He went to school with your sister-in law Betty.

I have one son who is majoring in Music and is a freshmen at Blinn College. His best friend is Patrick Newman who I am sure you know, because he is Vickie Brown's son who is married to your nephew Jamie. Patrick stayed with us right after the Christmas holidays before Cory went back for the Spring semester.

Small world, isn't it?

If you are ever in Giddings, stop by the Chamber and say hello.

It was good to hear from you.

Joy,

Me again. I was just informed by my husband that he took a computer class with Betty. I misunderstood him as they did'nt actually go to school together. I think Betty is a little older than Dennis. Sorry...

Take care.
