My name is Felicitas Dominguez doing a family tree for my parents. My mother's name was Hermenegilda Garcia born in Arno, Tx in 1893. I have been unable to locate a birth certificate for her although I did get a baptismal certificate from the church in Pecos, Tx. Her mother Senobia Martinez died about 1899-1901 but I have been unable to locate her burial site. I read the obituary about Thomas Alvarez who lived in Brogado, Tx and one of his sons has done a family tree. I wonder if you could contact him and tell him to communicate with me: lichadominguez@aol.com I did not know this town existed in the same area. thank you

It's been a little over a year since our family left Pecos for Midland and a chance at better job advancement within the Dept. Football is big in Midland, but I will never forget the night our Pecos kids beat Monahan's!!!! What a banner year for the kids and the school. We still get to come and see family and friends on occasion and glad to see Pecos is still able to hang on in such hard times for communities such as Pecos. Pecos and its outstanding people have been a definite highlight of my career with the Dept of Public Safety and I can think of no better place on earth to serve the citizens of our State. God Bless each of you. If your ever in Midland, please look us up.

Hello down there in Pecos. I've been reading the Pecos Gap and I even emailed, but I haven't seen my email listed yet. My name is Theresa Lara Valverde. I am a native of Pecos, my parents were Ladislao and Maria Lara, we moved to California in 1969. I am looking for my cousin Florentina Lara Salcido, I was in Pecos in July to attend my nephews funeral (Joe Ray Lara) and I was given her phone number and last name, unfortunately the number I was given was disconnected, I believe she works for the Texas Department of Human Services. If you could help me locate her I would forever be grateful. We are having a family reunion and I would like to notify her. Your help would be appreciated. My address here in California is: Theresa L. valverde 617 Bates Ave. Bakersfield, CA 93307 (661)322.3752 Email petrol3552@msn.com Please notify me or give her my message. Thank you.

Annevelyn Roberson Eisenwine, a long-time resident of Pecos, will be celebrating her 90th birthday later this month. She was born on November 27, 1912 to Hugh and Blanche Roberson, a pioneer family in the Pecos area. In 1928 she graduated from Pecos High School, and in 1932 she was crowned first queen of the Pecos Rodeo. She married Norman A. Eisenwine on March 18, 1933. They had five children, Louis Earl Eisenwine and Norma Ann Payne, both of Ennis; Carolyn Carson of Burleson; Marilyn Eisenwine of San Angelo; and James Eisenwine of Carrollton. Annevelyn was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, the Merry Wives Club, and the Twentieth Century Club, of which her mother was a founding member. She also taught square dancing lessons to adults and children in Pecos for many years. In 1997, she and Norman sold their home at 1221 S. Plum and moved to Ennis, Texas, to be near their children. Although Norman passed away in December of 2001, she still enjoys her children and their families, including 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Please address cards and letters to:
