Valles selected as Employee of the Month
Bonnie Valles has been selected as Employee of the Month for the
month of September at the Reeves County Detention Center.
Valles has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education.
She received her degree from Sul Ross State University in August of
1986 and enjoys working out at the gym and watching movies during her
spare time.
Valles began her career with the Reeves County Detention Center in
February of 1999 as a Correctional Officer and was named Officer of the
Month for the Month of July 2000.
"She is a veteran staff member who has proven herself both extremely
reliable and professional," said RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.
Valles' responsibilities as an instructor are to conduct and
maintain an ESL and Industrial Math course offered to all inmates and
to provide a viable, pertinent program to ensure opportunities for
self-improvement.
She is also an instructor for the GED program offered to inmates
through Odessa College.
"Ms. Valles does not stop with programs, planning and teaching, but
encompasses recruitment, counseling, and most importantly, assisting
inmates in preparation for a successful integration into society," said
Franco.
The Reeves County Detention Center is proud to recognize Ms. Valles
as Employee of the Month.
"Her high standards, quality of work performance, and
self-motivation have earned her this honor," said Franco.
