Clark, Stone exchange vows
at Greentree Country Club
Courtney Lynn Clark, of Pecos and Christopher Cannon Stone of Stanton,
were united in marriage at 7 p.m., on Aug. 23, at Greentree Country Club
in Midland. Mr. Tommy Hursh of Stanton officiated the ceremony.
The wedding was held outside under the rock veranda right off the golf
course. Following the wedding, a reception was held inside the ballroom
with food and music for entertainment.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Clark of Pecos. She is
the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wright of Roby and Mrs. Bobby Clark
of Pecos and the late Jack Clark.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stone of Stanton. He is the
grandson of the late Wallace and Alyne Kelly.
Escorted by her father and presented for marriage by her parents, the
bride wore an original gown designed by Maggie Sottero constructed of pure
satin. The "Primavera" gown with button back featured a romantic recessed
neckline and beaded Tulle lace laid over Matte Satin. The strapless bodice
was adorned with a floral beaded design including Swarovski crystals, pearls,
sequins and sead beads. Beaded bands accented neckline and hem. The court
length train fell from the ballgown waist onto the A-Lined/Flared skirt.The
two layered elbow length veil was also adorned with Swarovski crystals,
pearls, sequins and sead beads.
Courtney Bowman of Fort Stockton, friend of the bride, served as maid
of honor. Kristin Buchholz of Bardwell, friend of the bride, served as bridesmaid.
The bridesmaids wore gowns designed by Haley Nicole. The L'Amour Satin A-Line
dresses had delicately beaded trim at wide band at the waist. They were
cranberry color that featured straps and a square neckline.
Walton Stone of Hamilton, brother of the groom, served as best man. John
Clark of Pecos, brother of the bride, served as groomsman. Ushers were Chuck
Buchholz of Bardwell, Frank Rios of Midland and Kevin Usener of Fredericksburg.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Pecos High School and a 2003 graduate
of Howard College having received her associate degree in business marketing.
She is currently employed with Cotton, Bledsoe, Tighe and Dawson PC. in
Midland.
The groom is a 1990 graduate of Grady High School and a 1992 graduate
of Howard College with an associate degree in Agriculture. He is self-employed
and farms in Martin County.
The groom's parents hosted a barbecue dinner and dance Friday night before
the wedding at the Stanton Community Center. The music was provided by Mike
Payne. There were about 150 guests who attended.
Following a honeymoon at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico, the
couple will reside in Stanton.
