Rec department starts volleyball, grid sign-ups

Registration is underway now through early September for the Pecos Community Sports and Recreation Departmentís youth volleyball, and youth flag football leagues for the fall season.

Volleyball is open to children entering grades 2-6, while the flag football program is open to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 7. The regular sign-up deadline for both is Friday, Aug. 29 at the RCCRD office in the old Pecos High School gym.

The fee for the volleyball and flag football leagues is $10 per child. A late registration fee of $25 per child will be accepted between Aug. 30 and Sept. 5. That league is open for boys in grades 3-6 and parents must fill out and return a registration form, which also is available at the RCCRD office in the old West Pecos Gym during regular business hours.
