Golden Girl Nominee


Dana Warren is the 17-year-old daughter of Starkey and Jackie Warren.

She is sponsored by Airlawn Furniture and Allstate Insurance.

Miss Warren is a cheerleader, a member of the Pecos Eagle Band, FFA and was named to Who's Who Among American High School Students, was Homecoming Sophomore Princess and is a member of the flag team.

The Golden Girl nominee received the United States Achievement Award and qualified for state at solo and ensemble contest for band and qualified for nationals in gymnastics.

She was a lieutenant of the flag line.

Miss Warren enjoys dancing, gymnastics, listening to music, reading, stock shows and band.

Open house at school planned

The Summer Optional Extended Year Program for students in grades 1st through 8th grade will have open house for parents at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 24, at Bessie Haynes Elementary School.

Everyone is invited to come out and visit with the teachers.
