Golden Girl Nominee Kristen Evans

Kristen Adelle Evans is the daughter of Scott Evans and Sue Evans.

She is sponsored by Twentieth Century Club.

Miss Evans is a member of the Business Professionals of America and the 4-H club.

She enjoys horseback riding, playing golf, spending time with family and friends.

The Golden Girl nominee plans to purse a career in physical therapy following graduation from high school.

"I've always wanted to be in Golden Girl since I was a little girl and now it's finally my turn. I know it will be a fun and memorable experience," said Evans.

Host families sought

Host families are needed for international high school students for the 1999-2000 school year.

The students will arrive in early August and will stay with the host family for one semester or until the end of the school year.

The host family will provide a bed, meals, as well as friendship, understanding and a genuine desire to share the American way of life with a youngster from overseas.

The students speak English, are covered by medical insurance and have spending money for their personal expenses. The students are from over 10 different countries, including Germany, France, Japan, Brazil, Venezuela, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic and Romania.

The SHARE! High School Exchange Program is sponsored by Educational Resource Development Trust (ERDT).

Families are able to review student applications and select the student they feel will best match their own interests.

For more information, call Carole Edwards, Southwest Regional Director, at 1-800-414-3738.
