Carrillo, Waggoner tell of June wedding
Rosa Elena Mier Carrillo, of Santa Marta, Columbia, and Andrew David
Waggoner of San Angelo, formerly of Pecos, will exchange wedding vows at
3 p.m., Saturday, June 12, at the First Christian Church, 200 South Rio,
Fort Stockton.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Maria Del Rosario Carrillo of Santa
Marta and the late Alfonso Mier Rodriguez.
Parents of the bridegroom are the Rev. and Mrs. Ernest D. Waggoner of
Fort Stockton, formerly of Pecos.
Miss Mier attended college for two years in Bogota, Columbia and until
recently worked as a secretary in Santa Marta.
Waggoner is employed by the State of Texas in Mental Health Mental Retardation
at Carlsbad. He attended Wayland University in Plainview and Midland College.
The couple plan to make their home in San Angelo.
Mr. Waggoner's father is pastor of the First Christian Church in Pecos,
and his mother is a former staff member of the Pecos Enterprise.
Pecos students make list
Three Pecos area students attending San Angelo State University in San
Angelo, are listed on the Dean's List for the Spring semester at the University.
Those listed include Penny Anne Armstrong, a Pre-pharmacy major Jonnie
Renea Denton, a Communication and Sociology major, and Veronica D. Munoz,
a Pre-veterinary major all from Pecos.
To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled as a
full-time student and have at least a 3.25 grade point average.
