Reyes celebrates first birthday


Mario Alejandro Reyes celebrated his first birthday, March
4, with a party held in his honor at Maxey Park.

Mario is the son of Mario R. Reyes and Sulema M. Reyes.

He was born at Irwin Army Medical Facility, in Ft. Riley,
Kansas, at 5:48 a.m.

His grandparents are Mario and Nina Reyes, Ventura and
Francisca Mendoza and Maria E. Rodriguez and Melvin Coon.

Pecos students make Dean's List


High ranking students at Midland College for the 1998 fall
semester have been announced.

To achieve ranking for the President's List, a student must
earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average while taking a course
load of 12 credit hours or more.

The Dean's List is for students who compile at least a 3.50
grade point average for 12 hours or more.

Named to the 1998 fall Dean's List from Pecos were: Dalila
Valenzuela and Olivia Valenzuela.
