Fowlkes, Lancaster plan March wedding
J.M. and Carol Fowlkes of Pecos are pleased to announce the
engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter,
Tracye Nacole Fowlkes, to Kraig Lancaster.
The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Travis
Lancaster of Slaton.
The bride-elect graduated from Pecos High School and Texas
Tech University with a degree in Human Development and
Family Studies. She is working on her master's degree in
Education and is currently employed with Premier Travel as a
travel consultant.
Her fiance graduated from Texas Tech University with a
degree in Business Administration. He is employed with Astra
Pharmaceuticals, L.P. as a marketing representative.
The couple plan to marry March 13, at 6:30 p.m. at Indiana
Baptist Church in Lubbock.
Taylor earns certification
Stephanie Taylor, daughter of Kathy and Dan Painter and Dawn
and Steve Taylor, has successfully completed the required
state examination for certification as a shorthand reporter.
The examination consisted of a written knowledge portion
including medical and legal terminology and courtroom
procedures. The second portion, an oral dictation, consisted
of transcribing material at speeds of 225 words per minute.
She is now a Certified Shorthand Reporter for the state of
Texas.
Taylor graduated from Pecos High School in 1993. She
attended Kussad Transcription Academy in Austin. She plans
to work in El Paso.
Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Taylor and Edna
Painter of Pecos and Nadine Wilhite of Clovis, N.M.
