| Daily Newspaper and Travel Guide for Pecos Country of West Texas Lifestyle Tuesday, October 27, 1998 Faulkner in Rose Festival Campbell Faulkner, 11-year-olds, recently participated as an attendant in the 1998 Texas Rose Festival. Faulkner was a page for the Rose Queen during the yearly event. He attended St. Gregory Catholic School where he received the Faith in Action Award and the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. Faulkner is currently attending Bisoph T.K. Gorman Catholic Middle School and is a member of the Honor Choir and the Boy Scout Troop 333, First Class Rank. He has attended Camp La Junta for three years and has received the Black Eagle Award. Faulkner is the son of Mary Lauren and Bruce Faulkner of Tyler. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. G.M. Lehnertz of Tyler. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Faulkner of Pecos. Salgado named employee of month Jorge Salgado has been selected as Employee of the Month for October. Salgado has been employed at the Reeves County Detention Center since Oct. 10, 1996. He started as a correctional officer and has advanced to the position of Mail Clerk. "His job consists of having control of all inmates' mail distribution," said RCDC Warden Rudy Franco. "Salgado recently received a commendation from the Bureau of Prisons on a job well done," he said. Salgado is married to Rosalinda and is the proud father of three children, Luis Fernando, Neftali and Marlene Rebecca. "He is very dedicated, responsible and punctual, he is considered an exceptional employee who sets high standards for the rest to follow," said Franco.
