The Balmorhea Bears will play Faith Christain tonight in El
Paso at 8 p.m.
Junior Varsity will go against Buena Vista there on Sept
24th. Junior High Bears played in Sanderson last night. The
Bears won with a score of 26-7.
Outstanding defensive player was Usbaldo Baeza and
outstanding offensive players were Urbina Baeza and Usbaldo
Girls volleyball varsity and junior high teams were defeated
by Valentine Pirates on Tuesday night. On Saturday the girls
will once again go up against the Pirates on bears home
court. Start time is 10 a.m.
Junior FFA will have its first meeting on Sept. 23. Dues are
$5. Mr. Bagley hopes to cover such subjects as leadership,
firearm safety, electrial safety and outdoor safety.
The community of Balmorhea has applied and was granted a
working grant from the Southwest Educational Development
Laboratory. The purpose of the SEDL is to improve the
community as a whole with input from everyone in the

grant. Several meetings have been held, with the next one to

The adult computer class is quickly filling. This class is
open to BISD residents only and will be in the evening
