Jimenez, Navarrete plan May wedding


Richard and Alicia Guevara of Victoria and Enrique and
Corina Navarrete of Pecos, are proud to announce the
engagement of their daughter, Nancy Navarrete to Jerry
Jimenez, son of Mr. and Mrs. Juan L. Jimenez of Sonora, Tx.

A wedding ceremony will take place on May 30, at Our Lady of
Guadalupe Catholic Church in Midland.

Miss Navarrete is a graduate of Pecos High School and
graduated from Angelo State University in San Angelo in May
of 1992. She teaches fourth grade at Quanah Park Elementary
in Midland.

The future groom is a graduate of Sonora High School and
graduated from Angelo State University in May of 1990. He is
employed at JJ's Auto Service in Sonora.

Viva Las Vegas is theme for dance revue


Harding-Webster Studio of Dance presented its 6th Annual
Dance Showcase, Saturday, May 2, at the Pecos High School
Auditorium.

The theme for 1998 was "Viva Las Vegas." A cast of 30
dancers performed popular tunes in tap, jazz, and comedy.
Guest stars for the program were Cassie Rentner and Shauna
Click, 1998 dance camp winners.

Dance Camp winners from Pecos, will perform in Carlsbad,
N.M. on May 8 at Walter Gerrells Civic Center.

Owner-Director of Harding Webster is Sharon Click.

The 1998 program was dedicated to the memory of Mona
Mauldin, a friend of Harding-Webster. Mrs. Click said, "Gone
but not forgotten, worthy of remembrance, and God bless her
family."

The studio patronizes St. Jude's Children's Hospital and a
cash donation of $108 was collected and will be sent to St.
Judes in the name of the Pecos students.

Teacher-choreographer for 1998 is Shannon Huber. Stage crew
participating were JoAnn Click, Pam Duncan and Michelle
Lewis.

Viva Las Vegas backdrop designers were Kim Ewing, Darla
Blackstock and Mary Moore.

1998 students dancing included, Pink Delights members Laney
Abbott, Brittney Alligood, Alexas Chavez, Kebbeh Darpolar,
Lauren Elliott, Tiffany Hunter, Hayley Kington, Kelly Lease
and Courtney Painter.

Texas Steppers are AriAnna Alligood, Conner Armstrong,
Adrienne Bagley, Mitzi Bracy, Talia Castillo, Melody
Dominguez, Brittney Garcia,, Kaitlyn Kesey, Janette Perea,
Jesseca Perea, Alyson Reynolds, Amber Rodriguez, Carly
Stroud and Tatum Windham.

Star members are Savannah Ewing, K'Dee Gulihur and Candice
Moore.

Sparks dancers are Christie Gulihur and Stephanie Passmore.
