| Daily Newspaper and Travel Guide for Pecos Country of West Texas Friday, May 23, 2003 Ortega receives degree at UTEP Corina Ramirez Ortega, formerly of Pecos, received her Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) on May 10. Ortega is the daughter of Martin and Esther Ramirez of Pecos. She is a 1992 Pecos High School graduate. Ortega graduated Magna Cum Laude and plans to become a teacher in El Paso.
