Fundraiser set for four year old boy
Michael Rodriguez Valenzuela, 4 year old son of Esmeralda (Esmie) Rodriguez
Valenzuela, (PHS class of '83) and Michael Valenzuela of Odessa was in a
motor cycle accident on March 9, 2003. He suffered severe head injuries
which required emergency brain surgery. The doctors only gave him a 20%
chance of making it through the surgery and a few days later gave them very
little hope. To the doctor's amazement he has shown remarkable progress.
He was transferred to Baylor University Hospital in Dallas on Mon. April
7, to begin what the doctors say is an extended rehabilitation process.
An account has been set up at West Texas National Bank in Pecos to help
with medical expenses and an enchilada plate fund raiser will be held Friday
at Abundant Life Church, 1201 S. Ash from 11:00 to 3:00. You may pick up
or ask for delivery with orders of 3 or more. The number to call is 528-6919

He is the grandson of Eva P. Rodriguez and the late Juan E. Rodriguez.
He is also the nephew of fallen Task Force Officer, Jaime P. Rodriguez.
Natividad deployed to Kuwait
Jaime B. Natividad who is in the United States Army was deployed to Kuwait
on March 30.
He had been stationed in Ft. Hood.
Natividad is married to Rebecca Chavez and the couple have two children,
Samantha Nicole and Elijah James.
He is the son of Ruben and Mage Natividad of Pecos and a 2000 graduate
of Pecos High School.
