Marquez named Employee of the Month
Annabell Marquez has been selected as Employee of the Month for
January 2003 at the Reeves County Detention Center.
Marquez is a Unit Counselor at RCDC-II and worked at the Pecos
Daycare for three years as a pre-school teacher, prior to working at the facility.
She lists her hobbies as bike riding, gardening, hanging around the
house and spending time with her son.
Marquez began her career with the Reeves County Detention Center
on Dec. 13, 1999.
She was promoted on Aug. 2, 2002, to her current rank of Unit
Counselor. She is a veteran officer who has proven herself to be both extremely
reliable and professional.
"Her work ethics and attitude are of the highest quality level and she is
a prime example of the officer's employed at the Reeves County
Detention Center," said RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.
Marquez is dedicated to the operation of the Reeves County
Detention Center, according to Franco.
"She accepts additional responsibilities and accomplishes all
assigned tasks in minimal time," said Franco. "Ms. Marquez' attitude of
self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly have earned her this honor," he said.
Marquez has stepped forward and can be relied upon by her
supervisors to assist them in the highest professional manner, and has always taken
pride as a unit counselor of the Reeves County Detention Center.
The Reeves County Detention Center is proud to recognize Unit
Counselor, Annabell Marquez as Employee of the Month.
"Her high standards, quality of work performance, and
self-motivation have earned her this honor," said Franco. "We wish her continued success
in her career with the Reeves County Detention Center," he said.
Parent workshops scheduled
Pecos Kindergarten will be sponsoring a number of
parent workshops, including one from 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m., on Monday,
Jan. 27.
Childcare, supplies and refreshments will be provided. Call the
Pecos Kindergarten office to register at 447-7258.
There will be seven more meetings throughout the year,
including March 13 and 31st; April 14 and 28 and May 5.
Sylvia Sadler will be conducting the workshop on Monday.
