Castillo family members graduate
Reyes and Linda Castillo, of Balmorhea, are proud to congratulate their
son Kevin and daughter-in-law Olga Patricia "Paty" for their achievements.
Jeff, their oldest son, married Paty on Aug. 19. The two graduated from
Sul Ross State University during the commencement exercises held on Saturday,
Dec. 14.
Kevin Castillo received a degree in accounting and graduated cum laude,
a special recognition which symbolizes excellence on an outstanding overall
grade point average.
Paty got a degree in management, her proud parents are Arnold and Luz
Olga Saenz of Presidio.
Jeff and Paty Castillo reside in Alpine.
McCormick celebrates 80th birthday
James E. (Mac) McCormick, long-time resident of Pecos and pastor of several
local churches through the years celebrates his 80th birthday on December
26 this year. He was born in Arkansas to John and Eva McCormick. He served
our nation during WWII in the European theater.
He married Billie Ruth Wright on December 27, 1941 in Arizona. They moved
to Pecos in 1948 where he worked for Pecos Valley Railroad until his retirement
in 1987.
He and Billie have three children, James Ronald McCormick of Georgetown,
Tx., Lana Jean Watson of Kermit, Tx. and Steven Ray McCormick of San Angelo.
They have eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mac is currently serving as pastor of North Temple Baptist Church in Pecos.
