Thomas, Parker wed in church ceremony
Natalie Suzanne Thomas and Justin Everett Parker, both of San Antonio
were united in marriage Aug. 10, at 7:30 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church
of Fort Worth.
The Reverend Dana C. Jones Jr. officiated. Music was performed by soloist,
Ivan Tolbert. A reception followed at Colonial Country Club where guests
danced to the music of The Custom Made Band. The rehearsal dinner was hosted
by the groom's parents at Joe T. Garcia's.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Curtis Thomas of Fort
Worth. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Jim Pattee of Pecos and the late Margaret
Pattee and the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Thomas of Fort Worth. The groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Monroe Parker Jr. of San Antonio.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride selected a gown designed and
sewn especially for her by her sister, Amy Lively.
Matron of honor was the bride's sister, Amy Thomas Lively of Frisco. Best
man was the groom's brother, Ryan Parker of San Antonio.
The bride received her B.A. in psychology and sociology in 2000 from Trinity
University. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in school psychology at Trinity
University.
The groom received his B.A. in business administration in 1999 from Trinity
University. He is a sports information director at Trinity University.
The couple honeymooned in Curacao and reside in San Antonio.
Garcia completes basic training
Airman Crystal G. Garcia recently graduated from basic military training
at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, in June.
As of August, she graduated from Tech School in Keesler AFB, Mississippi
where she received special training and also earned credits toward an Associates
degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
She is now stationed at Cannon AFB in New Mexico.
Garcia is the daughter of Edward and Aida Garcia of Pecos. She is a 1998
graduate of Pecos High School.
Enchilada plate sale set
An enchilada plate sale will be held during the Annual Reeves County Fall
Fair at the Reeves County Civic Center.
The plate sale will be held from 5-9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4 and from noon
until 9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 5.
Plates will be $3.50, with an egg on top, 50 cents extra.
Tickets can be purchased from any Pecos High School band students or individuals
can pay during the event.
Feel free to take it home or dine in.
