Ryan named Officer of the Month
Christopher Ryan has been named Correctional Officer of the Month
for the month of August at the Reeves County Detention Center.
Ryan is a 1999 graduate of Pecos High School and attended
Odessa College from 1999-2000.
He is married to Martha Mary, and they are the proud parents of
a beautiful 10-month-old baby daughter.
Officer Ryan began his employment with the Reeves
County Detention Center in October of 2000. He has worked both facilities and
is very aware of the responsibilities needed for success.
"He can work any post assigned to him with ease," said RCDC
Warden Rudy Franco.
Currently, Officer Ryan is posted in Central Control and is doing
an excellent job, according to Franco.
His duties include staff and inmate accountability, relaying
clear communication throughout the facility on the base radio.
Ryan is also responsible for maintaining accurate records of
all aspects that occur within his tour of duty. He provides guidance
and supervision to new staff and has excelled in the performance of
his duties.
"Officer Ryan has set an excellent example for all new staff,"
said Franco.
Officer Ryan was promoted to C.O. II in October of 2001, and
then promoted again to C.O. III in July of this year.
He is a member of the Disturbance Control Team and shows
a tremendous amount of promise in that department.
The Reeves County detention Center is proud to have Mr. Ryan
as an employee.
" We extend our congratulations to him and his family on this
well deserved award. I am confident he will continue to exert his best efforts
on behalf of this institution," said Franco. "We take pride in
recognizing Mr. Ryan as Correctional Officer of the month for August 2002," he said.
