Rec dept registering kids for volleyball, football leagues
The Reeves County Community Sports and Recreation Department is registering
boys and girls now through late August for the fall volleyball and pee-wee
football programs.
Recreation Department Director Nora Geron said registration for volleyball
runs from now through Aug. 23, while sign-ups for football continue through
Aug. 24. both are open to girls and boys entering Grades 3-6 this year.
Enrollment is $10 per child for volleyball and $20 per player for football
and forms can be picked up at the recreation department office in the old
Pecos High School gym.
A birth certificate must be provided and both parents must sign the registration
form for the child to participate. For further information, call the recreation
department at 447-9776.
Entries sought by Rotary Club for adult-youth golf
The Pecos Rotary Club will be hosting its 10th Annual Wild
West Golf Tournament this Saturday and Sunday, July 28-29, at
the Reeves County Golf Course.
The format of the tournament will be and adult-youth scramble with an
entry fee of $90 per team. The fee includes green fees, cart and lunch for
