Rayos named Employee of Month
Julie Rayos has been named Employee of the Month for June at the Reeves
County Detention Center.
Rayos is the proud mother of one daughter, Anna Marie Ortiz.
Officer Rayos began her career with the Reeves County Detention Center
on Aug. 7, as a Correctional Officer. On Oct. 22, she was promoted to Food
Service Officer III.
Rayos in her current position, supervises cook preparing meals for the
2,000 inmate population in the Food Service Department.
Along with these duties she is also responsible for maintaining all
RCDC security policies. "She has always executed her duties in a professional
manner and maintains a high attendance record," said RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.
"Ms. Rayos has had a tremendous impact in the Food Service Department
and is well respected by her Supervisors and co-workers," said Franco.
"She is an integral part of the department and has uncompromising work
habits," he said.
Ryaos has made sanitation and security practices her number one priority
as well as maintaining other responsibilities within the department, according
to Franco.
Rayos' hobbies include playing volleyball, dancing and enjoys eating
fine Mexican food.
"Rayos is a significant asset to the Reeves County Detention Center
and especially the Food Service Department," said Franco.
