Out Of Town Belles
Sarah Faulkner
Sarah Faulkner will be a senior at Odessa High School where she is involved
in student council, activity board, varsity dance team, and the rodeo club.
She is a member of her church youth ministry planning team and church youth
choir. Miss Faulkner is a member and competitor in the Texas High School
Rodeo Association, American Junior Rodeo Association, and Tex-Mex Barrel
Racing Association. Her most recent awards include: Who's Who Among American
High School Students, Texas Scholars, Dance Team State Champions, Broncho
Polo (A Honor Role), and she will compete at the National Finals Rodeo for
AJRA in Sweetwater in August. She plans to attend college at Texas Tech and
major in Equine Science.
Arlene Jackson
Arlene Jackson will be a senior in San Angelo. She is the daughter
of Donna and H. L. Jackson.
Miss Jackson is a member of Business Professionals of America and enjoys
writing and singing.
McIntire graduates from Midland
Cynthia Marie McIntire graduated from Robert E. Lee High School on May
25, in Midland.
She graduated as an honor student, Texas Scholar and Abell Hanger member
receiving numerous scholarship awards. While attending Lee High School she
was a two-year member of the Drama Club, photojournalism, and Business Professionals
of America and recognized in Who's Who Among American High School Students.
McIntire is currently employed with the Midland Independent School District
and plans to attend Midland College in the fall transferring to a major University
to pursue a degree in Accounting and Business Management.
She is the daughter of Gladys Ramirez of Midland and Eugene McIntire of
San Antonio formerly of Pecos. Grandparents are Catarino and Aurora Ramirez
of Pecos.
Summer activities set at OC
Odessa College's community recreation department is offering a variety
of summer sports camps for youths.
The sports camps include coed basketball, volleyball, golf, gymnastics
and tae kwon do; girl's basketball, cheerleading, volleyball and twirling;
and boy's basketball and baseball.
Camp Gym Jam, All Sports Camps, Camp Runamuckus, and Camp Gym Jam Combo
offer a variety of sports and other fun activities.
Complete class descriptions and tuition rates are listed in the OC Continuing
Education/Sports and Recreation Summer 2002 bulletin.
Due to the classes' popularity and limited size, director of community
recreation Betty Fredrickson encourages interested parents to enroll their
children early.
