UIL contestants place at meet
Balmorhea's Number Sense contestants placed at a UIL Academic Meet in
Balmorhea recently.
The fourth place Number Sense team placed first and second, with Daniel
Bejarano taking first place and Gabriel Saenz placing second.
In fifth grade, Number Sense Kyle Wardlow took first place, Jalonnie Sanchez
placed fourth, and Leo Jasso placed fifth.
In sixth grade Number Sense alternate Russell Garlick placed second and
Rodney Fuentes placed fifth.
Area schools that participated in the UIL meet were Buena Vista, Grandfalls,
Royalty, Marathon, Marfa, Imperial, Sanderson, San Vicente, Terrell County
and Balmorhea.
Explorers plan fundraiser
The Reeves County Sheriff's Explorer Post #600 will be having a fundraiser
this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 25-26.
The group will be painting curb addresses and the cost will be a $5 donation.
