Contreras selected Employee of Month

The Reeves County Detention Center is proud to announce that Jesse Contreras, of Pecos, has been selected as Employee of the Month for April.

Contreras is a 1977 graduate of Pecos High School.

His hobbies include spending quality time with his family, doing yard work, running, and working on home improvement projects.

Contreras is married to Prissy, and is the proud father of three children, Justin, 12, Miranda 4, and Megan one and half years old.

He began his employment with the Reeves County Detention Center on June 8, 1998, as a correctional officer.

His dedication, professionalism, and ability to communicate and deal effectively with inmates warranted him a promotion to Case Manager in September 2000, according to RCDC Warden Rudy Franco.

As a Case Manager, Contreras' primary responsibility is to maintain security and control of the institution and attend to the inmates everyday needs, including family issues, legal issues, etc.

"He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of Unit Management and is an asset to the department," said Franco.

"We are very proud of Mr. Contreras achievements and it is a pleasure to be associated with such an individual," said Franco. "Contreras sets an example for all to follow with his dedication, determination, and professionalism," he said.

"His determination to succeed has earned him this award," said Franco. "We wish Mr. Contreras continued success in his career with the Reeves County Detention Center," he said.
