Carrasco celebrates first birthday
Abraham Fabian Carrasco celebrated his first birthday on Sunday, Oct.
14, with a party held in his honor.
Theme for the special event was Walt Disney's Monsters, Inc.
His favorite gift was a puppy given to him by his sister.
He is the son of Ruben and Terry Carrasco.
Maternal grandparents are Jessie and Evangelina Rubio.
Paternal grandparents are Manuel Ruben and Olivia Carrasco.
Abe is the youngest of eight siblings, seven sisters, Tiffanie, Brittanie,
Becky, Nina, Ana, Vanessa, Valerie and one brother, Sonny Boy.
Study club plans meeting
The Modern Study Club will meet at 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 24, in
the Gretchen and Greg Luna home at 1505 Iowa, for a Conservation Department
program with Etta Sullivan, department chairman, in charge.
The thought-quote for the meeting is _ "I never knew Thee, Lord, until
my garden brought us face to face." Molly Anderson Haley.
The program entitled, "You are Closer to God in the Garden _ Take of It,"
will be presented by Gretchen Luna.
Roll call will be answered by naming a favorite tree or shrub.
The project emphasis for this bi-monthly meeting is to donate to the Bears
on Patrol Project of the Pecos Police Department. The collected bears are
given to children in traumatic situations, which the PPD encounters.
Hostesses for the gathering will be Doris Moorman, Juracy Ray and Tessie
Cam.
