Cervantes tell of new son
Dylan Justus Cervantes was born July 6, at Medical Center Hospital in
Odessa.
Little Dylan weighed eight pounds, six ounces and was 20 ¾ inches
long at birth.
He was welcomed home by his brother Ruben III and his parents, Ruben and
Rebecca Cervantes.
Students can register On-line at Sul Ross
Beginning Aug. 1, current Sul Ross State University students will be
able to register for classes over the internet.
Through Web for Students, a new internet-based system, on-line
information will be provided for prospective, current and past students.
On-line registration will be offered for students who attended classes during
the 2000-2001 academic year. Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 1, students may register
via the web from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Registration is open to seniors, graduate and post-baccalaureate students
Aug. 1-31; for sophomores and juniors Aug. 8-31; and returning freshmen Aug.
15-31.
To view the site you can point your web browser to admissions: or go
through our regular homepage. If you begin at the homepage you will need
to select "Admissions" and then click on block labeled "Web for Students"
or "Registration Instructions for Students".
Key elements of Web for Students includes:
Student Records: A link to view academic information, such as
grades, transcripts, any holds on records, and account information.
Personal Information: A link to update biographical information
such as address, phone number, e-mail address, or Personal Identification
Number (PIN).
Registration & Schedule: Permits registration for classes,
view and print of daily class schedule, drop classes, view registration status,
and view account summary.
Course Catalog: View a listing of all courses available for the
coming academic year.
Available Course Sections: Allows user to view a listing of course
sections scheduled for the selected semester.
Financial Assistance Information: View details of financial assistance
information, as well as link to external Web sites. From this menu users
may look at award information, inquire about required documents, view unofficial
financial aid transcript (FAT), estimate the cost of attendance, and check
on academic progress as it affects award eligibility.
In order to access Web for Students users will need a Personal
Identification Number (PIN). A PIN may be obtained from an academic advisor,
academic department in which a student's major resides, or by stopping in
person at the Admissions and Records Office, BAB, Room 202. Numbers cannot
be released over the telephone or sent through e-mail.
