Area students nets degrees from Tech
Texas Tech had 2,035 students graduate on May 12. Degrees were awarded
as follows: 1,651 bachelors, 333 masters and 51 doctorates.
Area students who received a degree from Texas Tech recently include Beverly
Jo Gallego, of Pecos, who received a Bachelor of Arts Degree; Albert John
Lee, of Pecos, who received a Bachelor of Science Degree and Francitia Deon
Terry, also of Pecos, who received a Master of Education Degree.
Lilly Jennifer Kilcrease, formerly of Pecos, received a Bachelor of Arts
Degree.
Girl Scout Membership Rally set
A Girl Scout Membership Rally will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.,
Saturday, July 28.
Rallies will be held at five locations including the Girl Scout House,
715 S. Park in Pecos; Girl Scout Council Office, 5217 N. Dixie in Odessa;
Midland Park Mall in Midland; Camp Mitre Peak in Fort Davis and Alley Oop
Pool in Iraan.
Grab on as we launch the new 2001-2002 membership year with an event full
of fun, hotdogs, cookies, crafts, games, and door prizes.
