Venzor, Marek announcewedding plans

Mrs. Joseph L. Marek Jr. of Temple announces the engagement of  her daughter, Stephanie Paige Marek, to Leonardo Venzor, both of Arlington. 

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonardo Venzor of Pecos.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Joseph L. Marek, Sr. of Temple and Mrs. W.M. Smith of Temple. She received a bachelor's degree in English in 1994 from Texas Tech University. She also earned her master's degree in bilingual education from Tech. She is a fourth-grade bilingual teacher at Speer Elementary in Arlington.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Amparo Morales of Chihuahua, Mexico. He is a 1995 graduate of Texas Tech University, where he earned a degree in chemical engineering. He is employed with Solvay Engineered Polymers in Mansfield.

They plan to marry at 6 p.m., May 26, at First Baptist Church, Arlington, with a reception to follow the Hilton Hotel, Arlington.

Mauldin plans graduation

The Mauldin family would like to announce the upcoming graduation of Cindy Lou Mauldin on May 25, from Alpine High School.

She is in the top quarter of her class and will graduate with honors.

Mauldin plans to attend Texas A&M at Corpus Christi in the fall of 2001 where she will major in business and begin her freshman golf season.

Hannahs announce birth of daughter

Mackenzie RaeAnne Hannah born on May 9, to Blaine and Heidi Hannah, weighing six pounds, eight ounces and was 20 inches long.

She was welcomed home by her two sisters, Saydee LaRae, 5, and Caitlyn Leanne, 3.

Paternal grandparents are Andy and Shirley Hannah of Pecos.

Maternal grandparents are Ken and Sharon Hunter of Pecos.

Great grandparents are: Emilea Mills of Monahans; Irene Hunter of Alpine; Ollie Hannah of Pecos; and Wesley and Lena Harpham of Pecos.

Enchilada plate sale set

An enchilada plate sale will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., Friday at Santa Rosa Hall, 600 E. 3rd Street.

Plates will be $3.50 a plate and deliveries will be made on four or more plates.

For orders call on Friday at 445-2302.

Proceeds will go towards medical expenses for Jonathan Barraza.
