Bunch, Tellez announce July wedding plans
Margaret and Gerald Bunch, of San Antonio, announce the engagement
and approaching marriage of their daughter, Ann Marie Bunch to Dominique
Tellez.
Tellez is the son of Olga and Gerald Tellez of Pecos. He is a 1993 graduate
of Pecos High School and a 2000 graduate of Sul Ross State University with
a Bachelor of Science Degree-Biology. He is the grandson of Laura and Genaro
Luis Tellez of Pecos.
The bride to be is a 1996 graduate of James Madison High School in San
Antonio and a 2001 graduate of Sul Ross State University. She received a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.
The couple plan to wed at 3 p.m., on July 14, at St. John Neumann Catholic
Church in San Antonio.
They plan to reside in San Antonio.
Harrison nets two scholarships
Brandi Harrison, a West Texas A&M University pre-veterinary major
from Pecos, has received two scholarships for the 2001-2002 school year,
when she will be a sophomore at WTAMU.
Harrison, the daughter of Roger and Angela Harrison of Pecos, received
a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship as well as the Panhandle Livestock
Association Scholarship. Both scholarships are in the amount of $500 and
were announced during the WTAMU Division of Agriculture Honors Banquet on
Saturday, April 28 on campus.
Harrison graduated from Pecos High School in 2000.
At WTAMU, Harrison has been active in the WTAMU Rodeo Club.
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarships were established in 1980
for students working toward a degree in some phase of agriculture. These
scholarships are based on good academic standing and conduct.
The Panhandle Livestock Association (PLA) Scholarship was established
in 1995 to provide scholarships for worthy and deserving junior, senior or
graduate agriculture students. Recipients must have a 3.0 GPA and are expected
to attend the PLA annual meeting.
GED Testing planned
Registration for GED Testing will be held from 1-5 p.m., on Tuesday, May
29 and Wednesday, May 30, at the Pecos High School Counselors Office.
GED Testing will be held at 4:45 p.m., on June 4-5, at the Pecos High
School.
Examinees must present a Texas driver's license or Texas Department of
Public Safety ID Card.
