Scroggins-Martinez, Natividad plan April evening wedding
PECOS, April 4, 2001 - Janet Lyn Scroggins-Martinez and Israel "Viso" Natividad
together with their families announce their upcoming wedding.
The couple plan to wed at 7 p.m., on Saturday, April 28, at Best Western/Swiss
Clock Inn Poolside.
Both are 1987 graduates of Pecos High School.
The bride is employed as administrative assistant at the Pecos Nursing
Home.
The groom is employed as a stocker at the warehouse at Anchor West,
Inc.
Lazcano completes basic training
PECOS, April 4, 2001 - Ernesto E. Lazcano recently completed Army Basic
Training and advanced individual training in Ft. Benning, Ga.
Training consisted of land navigation, squad movements, and urban and
jungle warfare. He qualified with the M-16 machine gun, M-203 grenade launcher,
M-240 bravo machine gun, and M-249 saw machine gun.
Training also included explosives such as mine training, grenades, and
the AT-4 rocket launcher. He was also trained in the Bradley fighting vehicle
and was M.O.S. qualified as a mechanized infantry soldier.
Lazcano is assigned to the Army National Guard unit in Midland as a
mechanized infantry soldier and is currently employed by the Pecos Police
Department.
He is the son of E.C. Lazcano and Socorro Lazcano of Pecos.
Enchilada plate sale set
PECOS, April 4, 2001 - An enchilada plate sale will be held beginning at
11 a.m., Friday, April 6, at the Reeves County Sheriff's Posse Barn.
The plate sale will benefit the Floyd Estrada Scholarship Fund.
Deliveries will be made on three or more plates.
