Pecos places 3rd in science at UIL event

PECOS, February 27, 2001 - The Pecos UIL Academics team traveled to San Angelo, February 17, and placed 3rd overall in the Team Science division.

First Place went to Lubbock High and second went to San Angelo Lake View.

The Pecos UIL team was composed of Jack Armstrong, Jacob Barrera, Fernando Orona, Jena Cranfill and Jonathan Martinez.

Individually at the San Angelo competition, Armstrong placed second in the Science Senior Division, while Jacob Barrera placed ninth in the Senior Science Division and Jena Cranfill placed third in the Freshman Science Division.

Modern Study Club meeting

PECOS, February 27, 2001 - The Modern Study Club will meet on Wednesday, February 28, 2001 at 3:30 p.m. for an Americanism Department Program with co-chairman, Iris Reddick and Juracy Ray in charge. The Juracy and L.M. Ray home, 1518 will be the meeting site.

The program "War Bride Comes to America" will be given with Iris Reddick making the presentation.
