Texas A&M names honor students for fall
PECOS, February 19, 2001 - Texas A&M University has named
its honor students for the 2000 fall semester, recognizing several thousand
students for outstanding academic performance. The Dean's Honor Roll recognizes
students taking at least 15 semester hours who have maintained at least
a 3.75 grade point ratio (GPR) out of a possible 4.0 during the most recent
grading period.
A second designation, "Distinguished Student," recognizes
students who earned a 3.25 to 3.75 GPR while taking at least 15 hours.
Among those recognized was Pecos resident, Mikel Forrest
Parent, an English Major, who was named to the Distinguished List.
Fish Fry plate sale set
PECOS, February 19, 2001 - A Fish Fry Plate Sale will be
held beginning at 11 a.m., at St. Catherine Hall, Walthall and Plum, on
Friday, March 2.
Plates will be $5 and the group will make deliveries
on four or more plates.

4-H Adult Leaders plan meeting
PECOS, February 19, 2001 - 4-H Adult Leaders will meet at
7 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the Reeves County Extension Office, at
700 Daggett-Suite E.
On Tuesday, March 6, 4-H Club members will meet at 6:30
p.m., at the extension office.
Everybody is encouraged to attend the meetings.
