Museum invites public to view display

The West of the Pecos Museum invites the public to come and view their bottle collection on display.

Various old bottles and assorted glassware in different colors are on exhibit, free to the public.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Ramirez ends Basic Training

U.S. Army Pvt. Erlinda Salgado Ramirez, daughter of Silvestre, Jr. and Melinda Ramirez, of Pecos, completed Basic Training on Oct. 8, in South Carolina.

She is currently stationed in Ft. Leonardwood, Mo., then she is going to be stationed in Germany for four years.

Ramirez is a 2000 graduate of Pecos High School and is 18 years old.

She has three brothers, Roberto, Jesus and Michael of Pecos.
