Fuentes celebrates fourth birthday
Isabel Marie Fuentes celebrated her 4th birthday on Sept. 21.
Family and friends were on hand to help with the special occasion.
Her barbie cake was made by her aunt, Ana Barron.
Her favorite gifts were a Pokemon tin card holder given to her by her
aunt Gloria Rodriguez and a porcelain doll given to her by her godmother,
Angie Fierro.
Isabel was also taken on a special trip to see the Marfa Lights over
the weekend.
She is the daughter of Eduardo Fuentes and Estela Barron.
Paternal grandparents are Santiago and Mary Fuentes.
Missing a dose could cause problems
Failing to follow instructions when it comes to taking antibiotics could
cause problems.
"Skipping a dose of an antibiotic can cause the level of antibiotic
in he body to drop, allowing disease-carrying bacteria to recover, thus
making the infection worse," said Dr. Armando Correa, an infectious disease
expert at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.
"It's important to complete the number of days on the label, and if there
is no indication on the bottle, finish the bottle, even if you are feeling
better."
Correa says doubling up on antibiotics later will not help the situation.
