Club plans meeting
The Pecos Pallette Club will meet at 7 p.m., today.
The club meets every third Monday of each month, except in June and
July at 7 p.m.
New members are always welcome.
Acosta has sixth birthday
Sarien Acosta celebrated her sixth birthday with a slumber party held in
her honor and hosted by her parents.
She received many gifts.
She is the daughter of Sharon Hernandez and Jason Acosta.
Maternal grandparents are Alfonso and Guadalupe Hernandes.
Paternal grandmother is Susie Madrid.
Vela participates in tournament
Eddie Vela, 12-years-old, played with the Odessa Cokias, a selective team
in a weekend tournament in Hobbs, N.M. recently.
He pitched three innings Saturday with a victory of 5-2 to Odessa and
Sunday with a victory of 9-5.
They will be traveling to Fort Worth for the Nationals.
He is the son of Gabriela Vela of Pecos and Lionel Zapata of Austin.
