Registration for OC set
Registration for Odessa College's Summer II session and advance registration
for the fall will be held 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday, July 10. Late registration
for Summer II will be held 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., on Tuesday, July 11. All
registration will be held at the Registrar's Office on the second floor
of the Student Union Building.
Students are encouraged to apply early for financial aid.

from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, during the summer
or visit the Odessa College web page at http://www.odessa.edu.
Flores celebrate wedding anniversary at home
Mario J. and Maria E. Flores, of Pecos, celebrated their 12th
Wedding Anniversary Sunday, July 2 at their home.
The couple were honored with a party hosted by their daughters, Martina
Armendarez and Margarita Munoz.
The couple married on July 3, 1988 and have five children, Martina Amendariz,
Margarita Munoz, Jesus Armendariz, Araceli Armendariz and Manuel Amendariz.
The couple plan a wedding trip to Mexico within the next few weeks.
Torres completes airborne course
Private Joseph G. Torres, Jr. has successfully completed the Airborne Parachutist
Course and the Ranger (RIP) Course at Fort Benning, Ga.
Private Torres is currently stationed with Company C, 2nd
Batallion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Lewis, Washington. Torres
has been participating in all facets of ranger deployment training.
His sergeant recently selected him to represent his company in physical
training competition.
Torres is the son of Joseph and Esmeralda Portillo Torres and the grandson
of Juan and Sylvia Portillo.
OC students named to Who's Who
A total of 62 Odessa College students have been approved for inclusion
in the 2000 edition of Who's Who in American Junior Colleges, a national
directory of student leaders.
The students _ whose hometowns include Permian Basin, Texas and out-of-state
cities _ were selected on the basis of academic achievement, community
service and campus leadership, according to OC Coordinator of Student Activities
Courtney Graves.
