Reunion planned for class
The Pecos High School class of 1970 is planning their 30-year reunion for
June 2-3 at the Pecos Valley Country Club.

Old classmates are still being sought.
Maruffo named officer of month
Daniel Maruffo has been selected as Correctional Officer of the Month of
May at the Reeves County Detention Center.
Maruffo has been a Correctional Officer since July 24, 1995.
Maruffo is currently assigned the duty of Rear Gate Officer. He monitors
the daily incoming and out-going traffic into the facility.
He searches vehicles, pedestrians and packages to make sure no contraband
is coming in or going out of the institution.
He also takes inventory of all packages and tools that come through
his work area.
Officer Maruffo is assigned to one of the most crucial post in the Institution
requiring a high degree of security and responsibility.
"Smiley" as he is affectionately known is consistent with all his assignments,
conducts himself in a professional manner and is a fine example of a Correctional
Officer.
Maruffo is married to Norma and is the proud father of three children.
"We are very proud of Daniel and wish him continued success in his career
with the Reeves County Detention Center," said Warden Rudy Franco.
